Our Problem
There are estimated to be 340 million people worldwide suffering with Dry Eye Disease every day.
92%* of people diagnosed with Dry Eye Disease are affected by debilitating symptoms at night.
People are still waking up throughout the night and in the morning with painful eyes and poor vision.

Our Solution
Nightleaf™ technology is based on neuromodulation, using the body's own response system to trigger the tear glands to create a natural tear. The triggering of this tear replenishes and maintains a consistent tear film over the eye throughout night, resulting in a layer that protects and soothes the eye, for a better start to the day.

BioDesign
In 2019 we set out on our mission to better understand and solve some of the biggest problems in ophthalmology driven by the principles of Design Thinking and Value Driven Care.
In hospitals and clinics we observed and heard patients describe how Dry Eye Disease hugely impacted their lives, particularly overnight.
These symptoms lead to very difficult mornings and continued to cause problems throughout the day.

With a user centred approach we developed Nightleaf™ to solve this unmet need and give Patients the results they are looking for.

Lia Eyecare was founded with a vision to make a real difference to how people mind their eyes.
By simply watching and listening we began to really understand the problems people faced and simply through caring and compassion we began creating what we feel will revolutionise how Dry Eye Disease is currently treated.
With a patient centered and design driven approach to our innovation, we are developing tools for Optometrists, Ophthalmologists and Patients to help effectively treat both signs and symptoms of Dry Eye Disease, by day and by night.
